Michelle Nagle - Movement Teacher, Parent & Child Facilitator
Ever since Michelle was a child she knew she would work with children. When Michelle was 10, her parents enrolled her in the Vancouver Waldorf School and there a world opened to have art and beauty included in her education. She had always found ease with math and science, and these new skills (handwork, drawing, art, music) brought challenge and balance into her life. She is very grateful for the nine years spent learning in this way and it is due to this experience that she has dedicated many years to getting a Waldorf School up and running here in the Comox Valley.
Michelle met her husband while they were kayak guiding on the north end of Vancouver Island, and together they have three children. She has a BA from the University of Victoria, herbal and meditation training, has taken Waldorf early childhood intensives and is a certified Spacial Dynamics Movement Educator and Practitioner. She enjoys being active in nature, plants and gardening, travel, languages and ways to express creatively.
Currently Michelle coordinates the Canadian Waldorf School’s Western Pentathlon, which gathers Grade 5 Waldorf students from across BC and Alberta for a 4 day event (aka the Greek Games). Michelle has several roles at Saltwater Waldorf School- Movement Education Specialist, Parent and Child Facilitator and vice-chair of the Board of Trustees.
