Saltwater School is reaching out into our community and beyond, asking you to consider making a contribution that will strengthen the work of the next generation. Waldorf education is a true gift that a family can give to their child. Tuition alone is not enough to support all that Saltwater School offers. We rely on the generous support of individuals and businesses. Together we can create a strong foundation for our school.
Every donation made to Saltwater Waldorf School directly affects a child's education. The funds to educate students come from five sources:
A ‘per student’ operating grant from the Ministry of Education. We receive 50% of what it costs the local School District to educate students.
Families pay tuition and supply fees on a yearly basis. These currently cover about 40% of the School’s costs.
Grants for educational assistance from the Ministry of Education & the Child Development Centre fund educational assistants.
Fundraisers are organized by our Saltwater Parent Group, such as our Winter Faire and May Fair.
The remainder comes from Donations – from families, community and businesses. These donations are vital for the continued success of the Saltwater School.
